    Volatility of Jakarta Islamic Index. This study investigates the volatility of Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) in Jakarta Stock Exchange. The method that used in this research is used a simple statistical analysis. The normality of JII return is analyzed to answer whether the return of JII follows normal distribution. By using data of Jakarta Islamic Index from 2nd March 2009 to 30th October 2013 (1122 daily data), it is found that the distribution of return of JII is not normal, even the 5 sigma occurred. This means the return of Jakarta Islamic Index is much volatile than the theory predicted. This will make too much gain or loss in one day in the economy DOI:10.15408/aiq.v6i2.123

    Strategies for Providing Marketing Staff in Islamic Banks

    Purpose of this paper is to find strategies for providing marketing staff in Islamic Banks. This paper contributes strategies aiming at the fulfillment of human resource of Islamic Banks in Indonesia and at the same time building curriculum for studying Islamic banking at undergraduate level. By using descriptive analysis on yearly statistical data of Islamic banks from 2005 to 2010, three figures obtained as estimation of the need of personnel in Islamic Banks at 2015.SWOT analysis is performed to identify strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of Islamic Banks. As a result, to recruit the estimated number of Islamic Banking staff, three ways could be employed, i.e. early recruitment program which requires improvement of curriculum at universities, recruiting from conventional banks with some training as addition, and building a new institution called “Institut Bankir Syariah Indonesia”.</p

    Purpose of this study is to review some critics to conventional economics in some aspects, i.e., theory, culture, ethics, and system.  At the same time this study aims at searching some solutions for healthy economics (Islamic Economics).  The data used in this study are Law No. 3 of 2006 on religious courts, Law No. 2 of 1992 on insurance, data from National Zakat Board, and data from Bank Indonesia.  The methodology used is qualitative method using descriptive analysis and literature review.  This study concludes that there have been many criticisms of the conventional economic by conventional economist as well as by experts of Islamic economics. To that end, there should be Islamic solution in the economic field.  Solution of Islamic economics can be done by Islamic market integration strategy into economic activities through zakat, waqaf, Islamic social security, Islamic justice system and Islamic financial institutions ( Islamic Banks, Takāful, and Rahn). Kata Kunci : kritik, ekonomi konvensional, ekonomi Islam

    AN INTEGRATION OF WAQF AND VENTURA CAPITAL: A PROPOSED MODEL FOR INDONESIA

    This study aims to find the appropriate model for the modus operandi of a financial institution called Waqf-Ventura Capital Syariah (WVCS). WVCS is integration between social finance (waqf) and commercial finance (Ventura capital). This WVCS has been adopted in Indonesia but the right form of operation is still yet to be found. In addition, this study also looks for appropriate contracts able to be practiced within the WVCS itself. WVCS is conceptualized based on the content analysis of cash waqf operations, profit and loss sharing modes and venture capital strategies.&nbsp; It has been found that there are at least 3 alternative models of operation for this WVCS. Firstly, the waqf fund is pooled into the capital; secondly, the waqf fund is pooled into a third-party fund; and thirdly, the waqf fund is pooled into both the capital and third party-fund.&nbsp; These unique operandi of WVCS could be adopted, as long as there are mudharabah dan musharakah contracts for development of the Indonesian Economy

    Penelitian ini membahas tentang strategi pengembangan wakaf tunai pada Global Wakaf. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah; 1. Mengetahui strategi yang digunakan Global Wakaf dalam mobilisasi atau sosialisasi dana wakaf tunai, management pengelolaan atau investasi dana wakaf tunai, dan pendistribusian manfaat Wakaf Tunai pada Global Wakaf. 2. Mengetahui kualitas dan kuantitas Global Wakaf pada aspek aset wakaf tunai dan Networking. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis deskriptif kualitatif yang bersifat naratif, dimana penelitian dimulai dengan pengumpulan pernyataaan narasumber sebagi sumber data yang kemudian dianalisis dengan narasi untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan wakaf tunai pada Global Wakaf. Pengumpulan data berasal dari wawancara dengan Pimpinan Global Wakaf serta pengumpulan beberapa dokumen yang terkait dengan penelitian. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa aset wakaf tunai pada Global Wakaf setiap tahunnya mengalami peningkata yang sangat signifikan tidak kurang dari 70% setiap tahun, hal tersebut dikarnakan adanya pengelolaan yang baik pada tiga strategi pokok dalam pengembangan Wakaf Tunai yaitu; Mobilisasi dana Wakaf Tunai, Investasi Wakaf Tunai, dan Distribusi Wakaf Tunai. Dan didukung dengan pengembangan jaringan Networking Global Wakaf dengan beberapa lembaga dan komunita

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembiayaan bank syariah dan pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap inflasi tahun 2018-2022. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dokumentasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah time series. Analisis data yang digunakan merupakan analisis deskriptif untuk menggambarkan perkembangan setiap variabel dan analisis inferensial dengan    VAR-VECM (Vector Autoregression-Vector Error Corection Model). Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pembiayaan syariah tidak berpengaruh terhadap inflasi. Inflasi mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh terhadap pembiayaan bank syariah. Apabila terjadi peningkatan pada pertumbuhan ekonomi, maka penyaluran pembiayaan akan berkurang atau menurun. Sebaliknya jika pertumbuhan ekonomi menurun, maka penyaluran pembiayaaan akan meningkat

    Analysis Of The Effect Of Promotion, Customer Satisfaction, And Brand Equity On Online Purchasing Decisions

    The purpose of the study: to determine the effect of promotion, customer satisfaction, and brand equity on online purchasing decisions (case study of bosvelt shoe and footwear craftsman ciomas bogor). This study aims to analyze: 1). Analyzing the effect of promotion on the purchase of bosvelt shoes and footwear online. 2). Analyzing the effect of customer satisfaction on the purchase of bosvelt shoes and footwear online and offline. 3). Analyzing the effect of brand equity on the online purchase of bosvelt shoes and footwear. The research time was carried out for approximately 3 months. Data collection techniques: using a questionnaire given to respondents (customers of shoes and footwear) online and offline as many as 100 people. Data processing methods: used are validity, reliability, classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination, t test and F test. Calculation using SPSS vers 18 computer program. The results show that the relationship between variables X1 (Promotion), X2 (customer satisfaction) and X3 (brand equity) together with Y (purchase decision) is very strong and positive. The regression equation is Y = -1.526 + 0.427 X1 + 0.188X2 +0.243X3 or (91.6%). It means that the contribution of promotion, customer satisfaction and brand equity together on purchasing decisions is 91.6%, while the remaining 8.4% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. Because F count = 350.281 > F table = 3.09 , then Ha is accepted rejected (Ho is rejected), meaning that there is a significant influence between promotion, customer satisfaction and brand equity on purchasing decision

    Spin Off Feasibility Study of Sharia Financing Unit: Study in Adira Finance

    The Financial Services Authorization (OJK) as the regulator of the finance industry has issued a policy set forth in the POJK. 28 / POJK.05 / 2014 which explains that multi-finance which has sharia portfolio as much as 50% from total business or five years from POJK is lawfully obliged to do spin-off sharia. With this policy, sharia business unit can be more focus on business development. Through this research will be analyze the feasibility of sharia financing business unit in fulfilling the aspect of separation of business unit (spin-off). Beside by observation, deep interview with Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) and literature review, the research also use ARIMA and Double Smoothing Exponential to forecast market and financial aspect. Based on the research results sharia financing unit of Adira Finance has the ability to be spin off. But it should be noted from technology and human resources aspects.DOI: 10.15408/aiq.v10i2.578

    This study aims to determine the Concept of Ideal Islamic Boarding School Leadership today from the point of view of KH Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi who has experience in developing the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School from 1985-2020. This Research used a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach, with a field of exploration and a theoretical orientation or theoretical perspective, namely the researcher understood, described and analyzed the Concept of Ideal Islamic Boarding School Leadership. The results showed that the idea of Islamic boarding school leadership from the perspective of KH Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi was considered the most appropriate and ideal to be developed in organizational culture and modern Islamic boarding schools, because the ideal type of Islamic boarding school leadership must be based on the principles of leadership values that must be owned by a leader, including: 1).
